Paid or volunteer?
Paid companion
An example rate of £26–£32 an hour paid to you, with travel included on longer bookings. You set your own availability and you're never sent anywhere you haven't accepted.
Community volunteer
Give an hour or two a week for free. Same checks, same support, same respect — many volunteers say they get more out of it than they put in.
