Turn up. Be kind. Keep it company.
Six rules, and they apply to everybody equally — members, companions and volunteers.

1. Turn up, or say you can't
Someone has arranged their day around this. If plans change, cancel in the app as early as you can.
2. Company, not care
No medication, no lifting, no personal care, no medical advice. If someone needs help you aren't able to give, tell us.
3. No money between members
No lending, borrowing, gifts of cash, investments or business propositions. Payment happens only through the platform.
4. No romance or pressure
Side by Side is not a dating service. Any romantic or sexual advance ends the connection and usually the account.
5. Respect privacy
Don't share someone's address, photos, health or family circumstances with anyone, including on social media.
6. Speak up early
If something feels off, tell us privately. You will never be in trouble for raising a concern.
